Q & A with Sarah

How did you get into financial services?

I’ve worked in financial services my whole career, starting whilst I was at university as a cashier with Santander, progressing from there to account manager, mortgage adviser, high net worth client adviser and to independent financial adviser – with large organisations such as HSBC and Aviva. I joined Insight in May 2021.

What are your areas of expertise?

Investments, protection, estate planning and retirement planning.

What do you love helping clients with?

Helping to enable them to realise their hopes and ambitions for their own financial stability and that of their families.

What advice have you given that makes you proud?

Helping clients to be able to reach their financial goals, whether it is that they have enough funds to be able to retire a few years earlier than they thought or helping them and their families to mitigate large inheritance tax bills. It gives me so much. It is a privilege that clients place their respect and trust in you to manage their wealth.

Sarah's golden nugget

If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I'd say start saving for your future as early as you can.

The best advice from Sarah

Sarah Nelis has personally been advising my private pension for almost 4 years. I have appreciated the time made available during each meeting to go through in detail available investment platforms and current performance. Sarah and her team have always been proactive with communication, follow up and advice. I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah and Insight Financial Associates if you require pension advice.

More about Sarah

What’s your personal financial freedom dream?

To be able to retire and do all the things I want to such as travel, help my son and spend time with my cats and run as many foreign marathons as I can.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever spent money on?

Running shoes.

Tell us about something you’ve done to raise money for charity

I ran the London marathon in 2021 and raised over £3,000 for the Myeloma UK cancer charity. My father was diagnosed with this terminal blood cancer back in 2013, sadly he passed away from it in 2022.
