More about Matt

What’s your personal financial freedom dream?

I would like to have total financial freedom by the age of 57. However, I intend to continue working at Insight for at least another 10 years after this, as I love it so much. The financial freedom means I will be working through choice and not necessity.

Tell us about something you’ve done for charity.

In October I took part in a charitable event called Race Across Norfolk, it’s a bit like the TV programme Race Across the World but not as far!

I am treasurer for my local village hall and social club, and have been actively involved in fund raising to maintain the 1920s built building.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever spent money on?

Our wedding!

What’s the one luxury you could never give up?

Holidays.

What’s something colleagues would be surprised to learn about you?

As a child I had long fair hair!

Tip for my younger self

To spend within your means and always try to save something each month, however small.
