Q & A with Jade
How did you get into financial services?
After leaving school, I spent an extra year at college before completing an apprenticeship in financial services. That gave me a great foundation in the industry, and I’ve been working in financial services ever since. It’s a career that’s allowed me to build long-term relationships with clients while helping them navigate some of life’s biggest financial decisions. I joined Insight in April 2026 and prior to that I worked for another financial advice firm from 2017, and Insight acquired.
What are your areas of expertise?
I specialise across a broad range of financial planning areas, including mortgages, protection, retirement planning, Lifetime Mortgages (Equity Release), and Long Term Care advice. Having experience across these areas enables me to help clients at different stages of their financial journey and provide solutions tailored to their individual circumstances.
What do you love helping clients with?
I love finding solutions for clients. Whether they’re buying a home, planning for retirement, releasing equity from their property, or arranging care funding, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone overcome a challenge and giving them confidence about their next steps.
What advice have you given that helped a client and made you proud?
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping clients achieve something they didn’t think was possible. I’ve worked with clients who felt they had run out of options, whether that was funding later-life care, helping family members financially, or securing a mortgage in challenging circumstances. Being able to find a solution and seeing the relief it brings is something I’m always proud of.
Don't leave it until you think you "need" advice. The earlier you seek guidance, the more options you usually have available to you. Financial advice isn't just about solving problems - it's about planning ahead and making the most of opportunities.

I’ve helped clients use equity release (lifetime mortgage) to fund some really interesting goals, from dream holidays and home renovations to helping children and grandchildren get onto the property ladder. Seeing clients use their wealth to enjoy life and support their families is always rewarding.
What’s your personal financial freedom dream?
For me, financial freedom means having the flexibility to spend more time with family, travel, and enjoy life without worrying about finances. It’s about having choices and the ability to make the most of your time.
What’s the best thing you’ve ever spent money on?
Experiences with family. The memories you create together are priceless and far more valuable than most material possessions.
What’s the one luxury you could never give up?
A good holiday. Having something to look forward to and the opportunity to switch off and recharge is important.
What’s something colleagues would be surprised to learn about you?
I used to compete nationally in Athletics and really love Jaffa Cakes.
Start saving and investing as early as possible. Even small amounts can make a big difference over time thanks to the power of compounding.
