Q & A with Eliana

How did you get into financial services?

My Dad and other family members work in the Insight group of companies – so the financial advice sector has always been a big part of my life! Prior to working at Insight, I used to work in logistics, and managing accounts within the transport sector. I joined Insight in October 2023.

What are your areas of expertise?

Although every financial planner has their qualification, I think my expertise  is probably just people, it’s the reason why I do the job. I get to talk to people, listen and educate them on how they can build a financial plan that is suited to them.

What do you love helping clients with?

I love helping clients with having the comfort and peace of mind that there are opportunities out there that can help shape finances big or small. Being able to see clients reach a financial goal that didn’t always seem within reach is the most rewarding feeling.

What advice have you given that helped a client and made you proud?

I think teaching clients about the ability they have to structuring their finances in a tax efficient way as a whole makes me proud. But if I had to pin point a time it was probably helping a client with a death claim when they had lost a loved one.

What’s your personal financial freedom dream?

In a nutshell – flexibility, freedom and fun. Life is always about balance and I love to be busy but being able to plan my days to juggle work and family / social time is huge for me.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever spent money on?

Big Holidays with my favourite people, memories are priceless. I would also say food / gym as without me looking after me I can’t show up as my best self for work.

What’s something colleagues would be surprised to learn about you?

I think people are usually surprised when I tell them I am a twin!
