Q & A with Daniel

How did you get into financial services?

I was always interested in a career in finance and markets and knew someone in this sector who gave me an opportunity after me proving my skills to them. Prior to that I worked in education. I joined Insight in 2004.

What are your areas of expertise?

In my directorial role, I am involved in operational tasks within the business, mentoring advisors, and combining my extensive financial advisory experience with strong leadership to support the company. As an independent financial adviser, I specialise in retirement and investment planning, estate planning, and inheritance tax.

What do you love helping clients with?

I’ve been providing dedicated service and expert guidance to my clients for over 25 years and I love helping them have confidence to enjoy their retirement and spend money.

What advice have you given that helped a client and made you proud?

Many years ago, I helped a young couple buying a new house put critical illness cover in place. They went on to have a child together who was diagnosed with Hodgkin, a rare and life threating cancer. The cover cleared their mortgage and made them financially secure. They were so grateful that I could reduce that stress from their life.
