How did you get into financial services?

I came into the industry straight from university in 1995. I saw an advert for a graduate position for a financial adviser with the Prudential. They had one position. I told my brother, Jason, about the interview and he decided to go for it too. Fortunately, they decided to create two roles to accommodate both of us, and we have worked together ever since.

What are your areas of expertise?

Making sure my clients can achieve everything they want in life without running out of money. And ultimately making sure assets are passed to the ones they love in the most tax efficient way.

What insights or advice have you given that helped a client and made you proud?

In the world of increase taxation, I am proud that, with the right advice, I can help my clients reduce the tax burden for them and their loved ones. But more importantly empowering clients to understand that life is not a dress rehearsal; it is the main show, embrace and enjoy each moment with the security of knowing they will not run out of money.

Not to dream but achieve goals, everything can be achieved with a clear plan.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever spent money on?

Helping my children get on the property ladder.

What’s something colleagues would be surprised to learn about you?

Ha, ha, ha – I think my colleagues know everything about me, but I am a music geek and wake up at 4am every Friday to listen to all the new music that’s released.
