Q & A with Aaron
How did you get into financial services?
Pure chance! I was a graduate looking for a meaningful career and came across Insight through my university’s careers adviser.
And what did you do before?
I graduated university with a degree in Physics and spent a little while working in retail in London before coming back to Norfolk.
What are your areas of expertise?
All things finance – making the complicated simple. Retirement planning, tax planning & general advice.
What do advice have that you are most proud of?
Through trust and tax planning my client has been able to help fund their children’s university experience without causing constraint on their own cashflow. This eased a lot of pressure on the family.
Start early! As cliché as it sounds – the wealthiest clients started saving the earliest. Compound growth works!

To have my own gym somewhere warm, with every bit of kit possible.
What’s the best thing you’ve ever spent money on?
Wagyu beef box at Shiki restaurant in Norwich – best money I’ve ever spent on food.
What’s the one luxury you could never give up?
A good set of headphones.
If I could give my younger self one piece of financial advice that would be - markets go up, and go down - don't panic!
